Configuration and start-up require the start-up software certified by the KNX Association, version ETS5.4 or higher. No product database is available for older versions of the ETS. For ETS start-up of the Gira G1 with firmware version 2.0, the ETS application 2.0 must be used. Older ETS applications are incompatible with firmware version 2.0 and cannot be converted.
Important notes
After the firmware update the Gira G1 is protected by a device password. The password can be found on a label on the Gira G1. If no password is noted here, the password is "device". Please change the device password during configuration.
Devices of index I07 and up that come from the factory with firmware version 2.0 or higher cannot be downgraded to firmware versions 1.3.59. If a system absolutely requires the use of devices with firmware version 1.3.59 (e.g. replacement of defective devices), then firmware version 1.4 can be used (functionally equivalent to 1.3.59).

In the Asian time zone, there are two UTC+10 zones: "VLAT Russia" and "MAGT Russia". The time zone UTC+11 "MAGT Russia" is missing.
Pressing the +/- buttons on room temperature controller or room temperature controller auxiliary units quickly may cause the target value display to jump.
If room temperature controllers and allocated room temperature controller auxiliary units are parametrised on a Gira G1 and connected via communication objects, the malfunctions may occur.
